In a concert supported by the Canada Council for the Arts, Spiritus Chamber Choir presents an evening of colourful, shimmering harmonies, with works by Schafer, Esenvalds, Elgar, Ligeti and Rutter. Spiritus will also premiere not one, but TWO two newly commissioned works - "Even In Our Sleep” by Canadian composer David MacIntyre and "Song of the Phosphor Lights” by Calgary composer Zachary Wadsworth.

Following the success of SPEM IN ALIUM in January 2014, Luminous Voices presents their second program devoted to the spellbinding music of the 15th & 16th centuries.

A signature work on the program is "Deo Gratias", a 36-part canon written by Johannes Ockeghem performed in surround sound. Other luminous highlights include Josquin Des Prez’s famous lament on the death of Johannes Ockeghem and his chansons "Absolon et fili mi" and "Mille regretz".
