"...The Montreal Chinese Children’s Choir, directed by Pit Ling Lau, performed four pieces celebrating Chinese, Japanese, and Korean cultures. The McGill Conservatory Youth Choir of the Schulich School of Music of McGill University, led by Erica Phare for a decade and now by Amy Henderson, performed a program of French, English and French-Canadian folk songs.

The Senior Choir of the Choeur des enfants de Montréal, founded by conductor Iwan Edwards and led now by singer and teacher Andrew Gray, performed C’est l’aviron, by Canadian composer Donald Patriquin, and three African pieces.

The evening closed with the four choirs performing together. “Their performance of the Brazilian composition Uma Familia energetically captured the joyous spirit of the whole event and allowed the passion of the choristers and their message of love and unity through music to shine through,” wrote Webb, a friend of conductor Vásquez who works at the McGill Conservatory."
