Programme Note:
In a review published in the "Journal of the International Alliance for Women in Music", Volume 13, No. 1, 2007, Dr. Margaret Lucia wrote:
“The fascinating Daydream for carillon is at the opposite end of the sonic spectrum. What a stroke of inspiration to compose for an instrument so often ensconced if the landscape of small-town squares and venerable college campuses. Stroobach captures its essence in a chorale-style opening, then closes with a faster-paced middle section. I do hope the members of the Canadian Parliament (where the tower is located) took notice when this work was played.”
