Programme Note:
A work for solo saxophone which requires a certain amount of nimbleness and misdirection on the part of the player, giving the illusion that there is more than one person playing, or perhaps that one person is playing more than one instrument. Originally composed as a showpiece for the performer, the work explores some extended techniques for the saxophone, such as singing while playing, slap-tonguing, and circular breathing.

Premiere Information:
February 18, 1996, Vancouver Community College, Vancouver; Colin MacDonald.
