The Canada Council for the Arts and the National Arts Centre (NAC) are launching Carrefour, a residency for emerging, culturally diverse or Indigenous composers, and are soliciting applications. Two composers will be selected. One residency will begin in the winter 2017, and the second in fall 2017.
This is a unique opportunity to hone your skills working alongside the NAC Orchestra for two years.
Each composer will be commissioned to compose a work for chamber music in the first year and a composition for orchestra in the second. Each composer will spend six to eight weeks per season with the NAC Orchestra.
