In Muted Blast (.2), compositions and audiovisual installations by meta.ξ ( and affiliated composers are presented in dialogue with poetry of post-crisis generation Greek authors. The program explores elements of prepared acoustic instruments, video, and machine learning as a re-centering of voices of crisis back to Greek voices, specifically voice of Greek, Hellenic diaspora, and immigrant origin, operating in, outside of, and in between Greece. Pre and post-concert, there is a score exhibition, alongside fixed electronic pieces.

Muted Blast (.2) features Toronto based musicians Jana Luksts (piano), Wesley Shen (piano), Adam Sherkin (piano), Phill Albert (double bass), Matti Pulkki (accordion), Brad Cherwin (bass clarinet), and Michael Murphy (percussion).

With multiple Canadian premieres, presented works and installations include those of Artemis Maria Gioti, George Katehis, Zesses Seglias, Marianthi Papalexandri-Alexandri, Faidra Chafta-Douka, Stylianos Dimou, Alexandros Spyrou, Dimitris Maronidis, and Elainie Lillios.
meta.ξ is a collective of composer, artist, and design-curators. Bi-laterally based between the United States and Greece, with members living and working everywhere in between, the collective aims to strengthen the voice of the post-crisis generation of Greek composers while embracing subversive artists internationally. Muted Blast (.2) has been presented in New York City, Thessaloniki, and has scheduled performances in Stuttgart and Athens.
